KAI TDM-1742 SHUN Premier Tim Mälzer Nakiri knife: Japanese kitchen knife with a straight blade that makes cleaning and cutting of vegetables easy.
KAI developed several kitchen knives, made from corrosion-resistant damask steel with 32 layers, for the trendy Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series. The steel is embellished with a hand-hammered surface called Tsuchime, combinating ultimate sharpness with timeless attractive qualities. The core of the blades are made of a massive VG MAX steel with a hardness of 61±1 HRC.
Exceptional hardness and optimum grip have been a priority in the design of the Kai Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series. All the kitchen knives, from paring to Santoku knife, provide top-quality cutting tools, setting new standards in the premium segment and providing extraordinary performance in a timeless design.
According to Tim Mälzer's words: "A good knife not only makes work easier but also helps to make cooking to turn out well". All shapes ensure a precise cutting performace for right-handed and left-handed use thanks to the particularly symmetrical shape of the walnut handle.
