The Artis – Design and Technology range comes from the pleasant union of Trasmissioni Buzzolan's technology the experience together with the creativity of Giuseppe Todeschini, a famous designer from Vicenza who was honoured with the prestigious recognition of the Moma in New York.
The Artis – Design and Technology brand includes every day objects, in particular corkscrews and nutcrackers. Every item is a small masterpiece: every detail helps to create its personality and uniqueness.
Thanks to the creativity, experience and touch of Todeschini these objects are no longer merely functional. Giuseppe Todeschini is an experienced designer and inventor from Vicenza. His career is full of success and recognition in various fields of production.
He created new racing bicycle and mountain bike components and, what is more, he patented the first italian quick release pedal. After working with market leading firms and professional sportsmen such as Campagnolo, Colnago and Moser, he created his own brand which is internationally recognized as synonimous of quality and efficiency. In the field of motorcycling he created the first hydraulic disk brake used by the World Champion Giacomo Agostini. In Formula One he helped create Eleckton brake calipers and wheel rims for Ferrari and Alfa Romeo. He is also dedicated to the creation of home appliances and gift items. Some of them are permanently exhibited in the famous Moma (the Museum of Modern Art of New York). The sketches of the famous Campagnolo Corkscrew carry his signature. His creations match functionality and simplicity, elegance and practicality. The Todeschini style is aimed at the balance between technology and design.

The materials used for the Artis range are carefully selected by our designers to ensure the maximum mechanical strength, performance and endurance in every given environment.
In particular, the components are made of special high resistance steel on submitted to specific heat and surface treatments.
The aluminium details are made of forged and drawned aeronautical high mechanical performance alloys, machined using special numerical control equipments. The finishing touches are hand brushed and hand polished.
The alloys that we use let us perform anodic filming in highly stable pleasant colours.

The Platinum corkscrew patented in addition to its unusual design and refined working features the exclusive property of keeping the screw centered in the bottleneck not only while screwing into the cork ut also during the pulling of the cork from the bottle. This feature is very important both because it eliminates the annoying shaking of the wine and above all because due to the fact that the screw moves in alignment with the bottle, it is not subjected to detrimental pressure or bending.


The Platinum corkscrew is made with carefully selected materials. The parts in aluminum alloy subjected to heat treatment are obtained from solids using CNC machines, polished by hand, and protected by anodizing. The rack-screw mechanism is also made by CNC machines using patented tooling. The material used is high tensile elastic alloy steel optimized by the appropriate heat treatments, cleaned by hand, and protected by surface coating. The toothed sections as well are cleaned by hand and subjected to protective surface coating.
